Large atmospheric, highly textured, glowing seascape oil and cold wax painting. 

This painting is inspired by theme that runs through a lot of my later paintings; the light that shines and comes through even in the darkest of times. It is winter -  a time of reflection and depth. The skies in the painting are bronze and gold and moody, but there is a strong light coming through on the left. This is also reflected in the golden glow in the sky and on the sea. I have mixed dry pigments into the oil paint and this painting is so bright and powerful. It can stop people in their tracks and makes a great addition to most spaces.

Description

The painting is finished with a layer of polished wax that can be wiped with a soft cloth to remove any dust over time.

Framing

The painting is unframed. It would suit a floating frame in gold, copper or even natural wood. It is finished with clean edges in a grey blue muted colour and is ready to hang.
